Inspiration: I had recently fininshed another flower and bug piece (Bug's Paradise) when the idea of a cupcake factory run by bugs popped into my head. I spent a lot of time just thinking about this piece and building the parts in my mind. I particularly remember one night on the bus when I occupied myself with all of the imaginings on this piece. I then did a few sketches and started to build piece by piece. This creation took about three months to come to life because I did it in parts and pieces as I was working on other pieces.
