This classic herringbone pattern, shown here in Avocado dates back to the Roman period through the Middle Ages. The eye is drawn to the wide part of the "V" in the herringbone, and the pattern conjures an optical illusion that feels like a larger area.

Basecove Mid-Century (BC)
Base Cove sometimes called Shoe base is the tile that is used where the floor meets the wall. It has a little J-hook radius bottom that flares out that makes it easy for cleaning along the edge of the floor. The top of the tile is made for easy stacking of the field tile above. The edge can be specially glazed if you are using the base cove on top of your floor tile. Please tell us in the notes if that is what you need. They come in three sizes 4 1/4" x 4 1/4", 6" x 4" and 6" x 6" all 1/4" thick.
On average, the lead time is 4-6 weeks; this is subject to change without notice.
