I made this piece because our local polymer clay guild was having a show at the Textile Center titled "Wearables from the Oven" I had made another purse for a similar show a few years back so I thought I would try another. I don't know why this purse had to have a table and chairs on his back but it just seemed like a fun random addition. I like the mystery of it- who do you think is coming to dinner? Is it someone the octopus invited or is the octopus an unwanted guest. Hmm....
Ah but there is more- when you peek inside there is a lobster lurking below- maybe he IS dinner.
